About Us

Broderick Ltd was established in 1932 by Richard Broderick, Great Grandfather of Kevin Broderick, M.D. In the beginning. Broderick Ltd rented an office in Fishamble Street, Dublin city centre, specialising in Saws & Edge Tools.
Richard’s son Kevin joined his father in business and negotiated his appointment as the first importer of chainsaws into the Irish market, having witnessed the first demonstration of a McCullough chainsaw at a trade fair in Germany. So began the change that was to see the company move completely to machinery distribution

In 1966, Noel Broderick, Kevin’s son, joined his father’s business & purchased a hardware company which dealt with golf course maintenance equipment. Ransomes Simms and Jeffries appoint Broderick Ltd. their distributors. Their 2nd major appointment was as dealer for Kubota Tractor Corporation, the largest tractor manufacturer out of Japan.

In December 1998 Ransomes was taken over by Textron who already had a presence in golf industry with the  Jacobsen & EZGO brands. Noel’s son Kevin joined the business in 1999 just as  Broderick Ltd. was appointed as Textron’s sole distributor for Ireland.

In the years that followed, they added Smithco, Turfco, Bernhard and more recently Redexim & Kress to the portfolio. Today Broderick Ltd. employs 14 members of staff at Bromley Business Park, Kilpedder, providing spare parts workshop & back up service.

Our mission statement is to provide quality turf care machinery at competitive market prices, backed up by an efficient & reliable after sales service. Our team of Factory trained mechanics regularly upskill in new technology in line with industry developments.
